National Development Procurement Board was established by the Public Procurement Act, 2011 (Act 112) as a procurement body responsible for the effective procurement of materials for the member states.
The Authority seeks to ensure fairness, transparency and non-discrimination in public procurement in order to promote a competitive atmosphere for local and foreign suppliers. The commission is made up of 15 member countries of Togo, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Benin Republic, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso and others.
